Welfare measures for CAPF personnel and their dependants/ families.

  1. Enhancement of existing Risk & Hardship Allowances of CAPF personnel deployed in the State of Jammu and Kashmir and Left-Wing Extremism (LWE) affected Districts for Anti Naxal Operations.
  2. Sanction of additional HRA at the rate of „Y‟ Class city (16% of basic pay) to the CAPF personnel posted in Kashmir Valley for keeping their families at last place of posting, if retention of Government accommodation has not been availed.
  3. Development of a common website viz. “ CAPF eAwas” web portal for online registration and allotment of Departmental Pool Residential Accommodation to CAPF personnel. It is also provided facility for inter-Force allotment.
  4. Creation of 42 posts of Medical Officer and paramedic staff in CRPF for six Field Hospitals in Bastar Region Chhattisgarh.
  5. Continuation of the existing school bus facility to the wards of CAPF personnel deployed in J&K, LWE and NE States.
  6. Airlift facility to Assam Rifles personnel and their families engaged in the air maintenance task from Jairampur/Jorhat to Vijaynagar and back.
  7. A “CAPF Punarvaas” scheme was launched by linking Private Security Agencies (Regulation) Act (PSARA) website with WARB website where the data of retired and willing Ex-CAPF/AR personnel is made available to Private Security Agencies on PSARA website for re-employment is Private Security Agencies.
  8. In view of the disputes while sanctioning Central ex-gratia lump sum compensation to NoK of the deceased CAPF personnel, a provision has been introduced for sharing the compensation amount among the eligible dependent family members along with NoK where nominee is not stated.
  9. Issuance of guidelines for Contributory Fund to bring uniformity in payout in CAPFs.
  10. The amount under the Prime Minister Scholarship Scheme (PMSS) has been enhanced to Rs. 3000/- per month for girls and Rs.2500/- per month for boys.
  11. Following benefits admissible to Next of Kin (NoK) of CAPFs & Assam Rifles personnel who sacrifice their lives in the line of duty, inter alia, include :-

(i) The Central ex-gratia lump-sum compensation ranging from Rs. 25 to 45 lakhs.

(ii) Liberalized Family Pension under Central Civil Services (Extra Ordinary Pension) Rules, 1939.

(iii) All other normal service benefits viz, Death-cum-Retirement Gratuity (DCRG), Leave
Encashment, Central Government Employees Group Insurance Scheme (CGEGIS), General Provident Fund (GPF), etc.

(iv) Ex-gratia and other type of financial assistance from Risk/Welfare/Benevolent Fund of the Force concerned in accordance with the norms of the Fund.

(v) Public contribution up to Rs.15 lakhs by uploading names of such personnel on „Bharat ke Veer‟ online portal. Additional financial assistance of Rs.10 lakhs to parents of married deceased personnel from „Bharat ke Veer‟ Corpus.

(vi) Insurance coverage under CAPF Salary Package Scheme.

(vii) Issuance of „Operational Casualty Certificate‟ entitling NoKs to certain benefits viz., Air and Rail travel fare concession and allotment of retail petroleum outlet.

(viii) Compassionate appointment to the eligible dependents in accordance with the Government instructions.

(ix) Quota for wards for admission to MBBS and BDS Courses.

(x) Payment of compensation/assistance by some States/Union Territories as per their rules.
